There is a lot of buzz on ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ these days. Last weekend the movie version of the book made its way into the US cinemas and garnered US$48.2 million in ticket sales. That’s impressive for a movie which biggest competitor was big-budgeted “Edge of Tomorrow” starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. This is a great year for Shailene Woodley; she had another successful film “Divergent” which made US$56 million in its debut in March.
If you don’t know much about the book (and movie), here is a brief description:
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Here is a trailer of the movie:
Good news for cinema-goers in Malaysia! ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ will debut in Malaysian cinemas on the 17th of July instead of initial September release date. Start planning a cinema trip. Don’t forget to bring tissues when you watch the movie.
If you haven’t read the book, you could rent it from SS Readers Corner. Please check with Mr Sam for its availability!
ps: The date has been brought forward again. Initially the source stated that the movie would be available on 31st of July. Sorry for the confusion.
